Life is full of good things to enjoy.
God didn't have to make food taste good, colors and flowers beautiful, or songs melodious. How glorious is His creation!
Sunday, Little Britches crawled and stood up by himself(!!) for the first time! He's not even 7 mo yet! It's so wrong! He's just so precious, standing their with his two little teeth peeking out from his huge grin. Priceless.
Gypsygirl took her GED last week. It should be a couple more weeks before she knows her score. Then, we can plan a celebration for her.
I have kind of drug my feet about mentioning this, but I have been working on losing weight. I want to lose about 50 lbs. Seven weeks ago, I started The Maker's Diet (outlined in book form-the author is Jordan Rubin). I lost 11 lbs. in 6 weeks.
Now, I am working on continuing most of that diet coupled with an exercise book called, "8 Minutes in the Morning" by Jorge Cruise. That's about all I have most of the time. I like it because it's different every day. It's a lot like Pilates and it contains some yoga stretches (which I skip-every yoga position is a prayer pose to one of their million gods), so there's one caveat. Anywho, I have lost another 6 lbs in 2.5 weeks since I started that.
I have now lost almost 1/3 of my goal!!!!

Baby News
Corban Gabriel joined the family this past weekend. He weighed 8# 3 oz. and was 21" long. He was born joyfully at home, and is being a great delight to everyone. Thanks to the many friends who prayed for a nice delivery and a healthy baby. We gratefully received both. Praise the Lord!

Update
Just a little update. We have 4 things left to do before we move in. I big, three small. 3 'da Dad has to do (one w/help) and 1 others can do. Keep praying.
Baby and I are both doing great. I am looking forward to nesting for this little darling:)
Got to go!

Change of Focus
We have been busy around here. We are planning to move before baby arrives, so we will have a bigger nest to bring him/her into. So, we have been working on packing, decluttering, and cleaning in earnest. I made up a schedule for how to get the things in our current home ready ASAP (thank you Flylady!)
I am trying to work in last- minute preparations for the baby and ,yes, we are still home schooling.
I just try to apply the "do-it-now" principle to most things. I may decide to divide my days up, though.
Something like do my portion of the packing/cleaning (the big girls are helping pack and the boys haul it out for us) before school while Gypsygirl does her dishes, then schoolwork after, then baby prep in the evenings. Fitting in normal work, such as dishes and putting laundry away, that's the tricky part. Please pray that we can balance it all and that everything we need to do, gets done.
The men did get some work done last week. I cannot tell you all about it b/c I was not there. 'da Dad gave some of us the day off, so we went to a local state park festival. We all had a great time.
I may be spending a lot less time on here, w/ the prep for the move, the move, and baby coming. But, I'll do what I can :).
Be blessed.

What's Going On
My brother and his wife had their first child on Saturday. Congratulations John and Sarah! He is a sweetie!
The concert went really well. Everyone did a great job singing and playing. It's very humbling to have people willing to do what they can to help, especially something so personal. May God richly bless those who helped.
The children started their schoolwork again today. It is a good bit modified from what they were doing, but it works. I had the older 4 write essays. Three of them wrote about the fire, so they may decide to post that on the blog. I was very impressed. We are blessed with some amazing children.
Getting back to the books is another way for life to be normal. It is a part of our routine which is necessary and still achievable.
'da Dad is hoping to get started cleaning up tomorrow. That's the first step in starting to build again.
We went to do some pricing yesterday. Sticker shock! Most of the lumber we used in the 1st house was reclaimed (and built 5-6 years ago), so we are having to readjust our thinking a bit.LOL! Nevertheless, the Lord will provide.
Scripture Luke 11-13. Song-"Blessed Assurance".
You all have a blessed night.
